Every day is Down Syndrome Day at Root for Kids! 💙💛

Today, on #WorldDownSyndromeDay, we’re celebrating the incredible kids and families we serve through our Early Intervention Program—providing vital support for children with Trisomy 21 and other developmental or physical delays. Because just like all of us, everyone needs support sometimes!

People with Down syndrome deserve the right support to live, thrive, and be included in their communities. Families also need support as they uplift and empower their loved ones. The right support looks different for everyone, but one thing is the same—it should always provide choice, control, and dignity.

Help us start the conversation! Today, we’re rocking our bold, bright, and mismatched socks to raise awareness. When someone asks about your wild socks, tell them: “I’m wearing these to celebrate and support individuals with Down syndrome!”

Join us in calling on all governments to #ImproveOurSupportSystems and create a world where everyone gets the support they need to thrive. For more information about our Early Intervention Program please visit rootforkids.org/earlyintervention.

We’d like to take a moment and give a huge THANK YOU to one of our long term volunteers, Lana Wimmer. She organized a diaper and wipes drive, and then brought in her youth group to help bundle all of the diapers that were donated. In total they donated 11 boxes, which equals 1,374 diapers! They also donated 6 boxes of wipes. We are forever grateful for those in the community who help us continue to serve our families. Thank you! 🩷💚🩵
