WHO WE ARE

Nurturing Strong Beginnings

Root for Kids (previously known as The Learning Center for Families) is a non-profit organization located in Southern Utah that provides support for children and families in need of extra support. We help provide education and a nurturing environment for optimal growth and development for each child.

Since 1993, Root for Kids has served 15,000 families through Early Head Start, Early Intervention and Parents as Teachers home visiting programs in Washington County, Utah and the Arizona Strip. All services are based on eligibility and are provided at no cost* to the families.

Root for Kids is also home to the Caterpillar Clubhouse, a private pay Early Childhood Development Child Care Center for children ages 6 weeks to five.

There is a popular quote that says “Children need two things, one is roots, the other is wings.” Root for Kids is one resource in the community to help grow & strengthen those roots.
