Radioathon Kicks Off the Season of Giving

On December 5, 2018, we hosted our 3rd annual holiday Radioathon for children and families. Every year we partner up with Red Rock Broadcasting and their radio stations for a 13-hour day of giving. Mix 103.1, Coyote 102.3 and Kool 98.9 broadcast live from our building in St. George to interview families served by our programs, sponsors, encourage listeners to donate and narrate all the action as donations and groups of volunteers flood in. We live in an amazing giving community and every year we are amazed by their generosity!

Volunteers

Between groups and individuals, we had 36 volunteers join us throughout the day. They could choose from four drop-in projects and help for as long as they wanted! All projects were activities for the kids served by our programs.

In-Kind Donations

Who knew that Santa had so many helpers in St. George. We almost couldn’t fit all the in-kind donations that were coming in! Thank you to the businesses, church groups, volunteers, families and friends who came together to make this day extra special. Every item makes a difference in a child’s life.

Donors

From cars driving by dropping off their loose change to phones ringing and online donations, people had may ways to contribute financially. We also offered sponsorship opportunities and sponsors got the opportunity to be interviewed live in the radio stations that morning.

Thank you for helping us kick off the season of giving and helping over 600 families in our community!  You can see more pictures on our Facebook page. If you didn’t have the chance to join us for the Radioathon, you can still make a donation online or purchase an item from our wish list.
